He is a Group General Manager. He joined HSBC in London in 1982 and spent the first eleven years of his career as a merchant banker. In 1993 he successfully established a wholesale banking platform for HSBC in the Middle East. In 2005 he returned to London as Global Head of Principal Investments and Private Equity. He was appointed as Global Head of HSBC Amanah in 2008 and moved to Malaysia in December 2009.
