The Central Bank of Bahrain was established in 1973 as the Bahrain Monetary Agency, shortly after Bahrain gained its independence from the United Kingdom. As per Decree No. 64 of 2006 with respect to promulgating the Central Bank of Bahrain and Financial Institutions Law, the Bahrain Monetary Agency is now the Central Bank of Bahrain. It Implements monetary policy, Supervises and regulates the banking sector and Acts as the government’s fiscal agent.

Prof. (Dr.) Badr EL Din A. Ibrahim was educated at Khartoum University and Manchester University (M.A & Ph.D). He was Chairman, Department of Economics, University of Khartoum, 1995-1997; Dean of the Modern College of Business and Science (MCBS), a private College affiliated with the University of Missouri St. Louis, USA, and based in Muscat. During his deanship MCBS awarded 'Best Educational Institute in Management in Asia", World Education Congress, Asia Award. He was awarded the academic rank of Professor of Economics, MCBS in 2007.

Badawi, Samir T.

He was the CEO of Gundle/SLT Environmental Inc. with headquarters in Houston, where he had resided for the past twelve years. Samir was born in Cairo, Egypt on December 9th, 1939. He was educated at the Jesuit boys school in Cairo and thereafter graduated from Cairo University. He immigrated to the United States in 1967 where he furthered his education at Portland State University in Portland, Oregon obtaining an MBA degree in finance in 1969 and received his CPA while working for Ernst & Young in New York City.

Zaki (14 Jan 1922 – 24 Jan 2006) was a prominent Egyptian Islamic scholar, community activist, and promoter of interfaith-dialogue. He was the principal of the Muslim College in London, which he founded in 1986.
