Prof. Joni Tamkin Borhan, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor at the Department of Shariah and Economics, Academy of Islamic Studies, University of Malaya. Prof. Borhan was a Member of the National Shariah Advisory Council on Islamic Banking and Takaful (NSAC) at National Accreditation Board (LAN) from 1999 to 2004.

Member of the Sharia Supervisory Board at The International Investor. He worked for the Council of Fatwa Saudi Arabia, where he received further education by Sharia scholars prominent. He was a member of the Shariah at Al Rajhi Investment bank, also was a member of its Board of Directors. He founded the Dar Alta’seel at Cairo in 1987.

Dr. Hamid Zangeneh is a former Professor of Economics at Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania where he tought economics for over thirty years. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Missouri. He is a widely published author, television commentator, and lecturer.

He was formerly a fellow and research associate at the Center for Middle Eastern Studies, Harvard University (1990-1995). Bina is a political economist and theorist of oil and energy with numerous scholarly publications in several fields of inquiry, including value theory and globalization.

An investment banker by profession, she was previously a Visiting Scholar at the Islamic Legal Studies Program, where she did research on Islamic asset-backed securities. Before coming to Harvard, Bilal headed the Corporate Finance and Investment Banking Division at Faysal Bank Limited in Karachi, Pakistan.
