Being finance professional, he is member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) and Associate of Public Accountant (APA). He also holds Post-graduated Diploma (PGD) in Islamic banking from Centre of Islamic Economics, Dar-ul-Eloom, Karachi.

Manager, Central Shari‘a Group, HSBC Amanah, Dubai, United Arab Emirates Imad is a lawyer by profession and is finalizing his Ph.D. from International Islamic University Malaysia. His main professional responsibilities are to assist in product development, training, shari‘a compliance and auditing for HSBC Amanah, and to assist in transaction structuring and documentation from a shari‘a perspective. Ali worked for a British law firm, Denton Wilde Sapte, in their Islamic finance team prior to working with HSBC Amanah. He worked on both bilateral and syndicated financing facilities.

(Visiting Research Fellow, Islamic Legal Studies Program, Harvard Law School, Cambridge, MA, and Associate Deputy Director, Financial Supervisory Service, Seoul, South Korea) Yang is an associate deputy director at the Financial Supervisory Service, a financial regulatory authority of Korea. Previously, Ms. Yang worked for the Bank of Korea since 1995. Currently she is a visiting fellow at Harvard Islamic Legal Studies Program. She has served in various financial regulatory issues over 15 years including a member of a working group for Islamic Finance in Korea.

(Gibbons Professor of Finance, Bentley University, Waltham, Massachusetts) Sultan was appointed the Gibbons Professor of Finance at Bentley University in 2007. He received his B.A. from Eureka College, his M.S. from Western Illinois University, and his Ph.D. from Arizona State University. Sultan currently teaches Fixed Income and International Financial Management at the undergraduate and graduate programs at Bentley University.

A graduate of the University of Toronto and Osgoode Hall Law School, he worked at the Bay Street law firm of Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP before teaching the law of international business transactions at Southwest University in China. He subsequently spearheaded the entry of a Chinese conglomerate into the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Prior to working with PWC Switzerland, he was Senior Advisor to BNP Paribas Najmah, the bank´s global Islamic banking unit based in Bahrain.
