This book is the revised and updated version of a book that has been reprinted repeatedly since 1970. The original book detailed the economic values of the Islamic doctrine in the contemporary economic context, while paying special attention to the problems of Islamization of the economy in Pakistan. The new edition includes an additional chapter on the Islamic Development Bank and other banks, and a new introductory chapter which addresses methological concerns. New lists of recommended readings are also included.
