Dr. Abdulazeem Abozaid
Dr. Abdulazeem holds a Ph.D (2001) and a Masters (1998) in Islamic Financial Law from Damascus University. He has BA in Arabic Literature, English Literature and Islamic Law, and Higher Diplomas in Islamic Law and Human Sciences. He has worked at universities as well as Islamic banks. His research interests lie in the fields of Islamic Law, Islamic Finance and Islamic Banking. He was recently promoted to the rank of Professor at CIS – HBKU. He has previously taught at International Islamic University, Malaysia.
Dr. Ahmet Faruk Aysan
Dr. Ahmet Aysan is a professor at the College of Islamic Studies (CIS) and the Program Coordinator of the PhD and MS programs in Islamic Finance and Economy. He has been the Board Member and Monetary Policy Committee member of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey and served as a consultant at various institutions such as the World Bank, the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, and Oxford Analytica. Dr. Dalal Aassouli
Dr. Dalal Aassouli is an Assistant Professor of Islamic Finance at CIS. She was previously a visiting academic at the Durham Centre for Islamic Economics and Finance, Durham University Business School and a visiting lecturer in a number of international universities. She has also worked at the International Islamic Liquidity Management Corporation (IILMC) in Malaysia, where she assisted with the establishment of the IILM's sukuk program.
Dr. Mustafa Disli
Dr. Mustafa Disli is an Associate Professor of Economics and Finance at CIS. He received a BA degree in Economics, an MA in Economics, an MA in Banking and Finance, and a PhD from Ghent University, Belgium. His research interests are in the areas of (Islamic) banking and finance, energy and sustainable economics, and behavioral economics and finance. Dr.
Dr. Mohamed Eskandar Shah Mohd Rasid
Dr. Mohamed Eskandar is the Academic Dean and an Associate Professor in the Master of Science in Islamic Finance Program. He was Associate Dean of School of Graduate and Professional Studies at the International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF). He holds a PhD in Finance from the University of Nottingham, a Master in International Economics and Finance from the University of Queensland, and a Bachelor in Business Administration (Finance) from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).
