This research cluster critically analyzes the Reform project in the Muslim World (with particular focus on the modern period), its forms, the rise of reform movements and their pioneers, the methodologies and achievements/failures, etc. It also addresses pressing global issues affecting contemporary Muslim societies and the humanity. This cluster also tackles issues pertaining to sustainable development in Muslim states and sheds light on the theoretical debates and practical discussions revolving around institutional dynamics, contextual variables and other factors that affect integral development. This cluster encourages researchers to explore subjects related to Muslim reform movements, contemporary and social issues in the society, political studies, public policy and political jurisprudence, the interaction of Islam and education and similarly the interaction of Islam and gender studies. The priority areas of research of this cluster are: Islamic Reform, Islam & youth in the new media, faith & Sustainable Development Education.
