Abstract

The book contains eight essays by different authors on Islamic economic thought. The topics of the papers include contemporary Islamic views on the economic system, economic justice, property rights, class interests, Islam and capitalism, a progressive view of Islamic economics, economics and the Islamization of Pakistan, and Islamic economic reform. The authors of the essays are Rafiq Ahmed, H.U. Beg, Sohrab Behdad, Asghar Ali Engineer, Ziaul Haque, Omar Asghar Kahn, Syed Nawab Haider Naqvi, and Mian M. Nazeer.
