Abstract

The Shari'a greatly influences Muslim conduct in all spheres of life, and business ethics are an important aspect of that conduct. Dealing in an honest, fair, and just manner is perceived as an act of devotion to God, emphasizing the importance of business ethics in Islamic finance. This book examines Islam's position on a variety of business ethical issues. Furthermore, it draws a connection to the increasing importance of business ethics in the West. In the competitive, even corrupt atmosphere of business prevalent in the world today, business ethics are vital.
