Dr. Gammal is Associate Professor of Comparative Fiqh at CIS - HBKU. Previously he was an Assistant Professor at the College of Law in Al-Azhar University. He holds a PhD (2005) and a Master degree (2002) in Comparative Fiqh, and a BA (1996) in Shariah and Law from Al-Azhar University, Egypt. Before joining CIS, he was been teaching Comparative Fiqh at Al-Azhar University.
To his credit, Dr Gammal has many publications, including books, book chapters and journal articles. He is a recipient of numerous awards and some of the prominent ones are Organisation of Islamic Cooperation – Islamic Fiqh Academy which he has received multiple times, Medal of Grand Imam of Al-Azhar University for Excellence in Bachelor’s Degree.
