Omneya is a Professor and Coordinator of Islamic Finance Ph.D. program at the College of Islamic Studies. She is the founding Director of the Ethical Finance Research Center at Durham University, U.K., and a Fellow of UK Higher Education Academy. Prior to joining CIS, she was Professor of Accounting and Islamic Finance at Durham University since 2014. She was previously the director of the El Shaarani Centre for Islamic Business & Finance (EIBF) at Aston University since January 2010.
