Social separation in Qatar : a critical analysis of the barriers pertaining to the integration of western expatriate women into Qatari society

The main objective of this study is to critically analyse and assess the barriers pertaining to the integration of expatriates into Qatari society, with a specific focus on the integration of Western expatriate women. By examining the frequency and extent of the interaction between western expatriate women with Qatari nationals, I aim to test the assumptions of social separation and analyse views that place the privilege of Qatari citizens over other social groups as the main barrier preventing the integration process.
