Abstract
| Waqf has been and will continue to be a copious source for the development of our people abilities and potentials, and advancing their role towards realizing a civilization with morality and humanity attributes which distinguish this true religion of ours. Moreover, waqf in all its kinds has played a significant role in forming, preserving, and invigorating our Islamic civilization, to the extent that we may say that the gift of Awqaf -after His grace- is our civilization. Hence, the Muslim people ought to take utmost care of Waqf and its types, objectives, and institutions. Only when we develop, restore and broaden its scopes, we may revive its role and desired objectives. Therefore, this study will be focusing on the role of Islamic financial institutions in developing waqf through contemporary investment tools. Also, it will draw attention to the contribution of waqf towards the development of the economy. |
