Abstract
The growth of Islamic financial institutions and banking in Muslim-majority countries may be indicative of increasing adherence of Muslims towards Islamic principles in their countries. Islamic financial institutions and banking are becoming widespread even in Muslim-minority countries. Whether the increasing popularity of Islamic financial practices is consistent with the increase in adherence of Muslims towards Islamic principles or not remains a question. Two closely connected issues concerning the challenges and consequences of educating Muslims dependent on MMEs (Micro and Medium Sized Enterprises) in Islamic financial practices and principles are addressed.
