Abstract
One can come to a broader understanding of Islamic finance by applying Islamic principles and methods to the international economic system. The cornerstones of Islamic finance include profitability and risk-diversification. Mudaraba (profit-sharing) ventures can galvanize the economy and put its wealth to use. Development and profits are linked.
