Abstract

Banker's Equity was formed in 1979 to aid the financing of Pakistan's private sector. The firm has achieved accomplishments in offering single-package finance, encouraging business ventures, and leading the discovery of new financing methods that comply with shari`a. Participation-term certificates (PTCs) promote long- and medium-term investment in the country. Mudaraba has particular dividends and profit rates. Banker's Equity has a governing board and operates in several areas: issuing PTC shares; medium- and long-term financing against PTCs; concessionary financing for locally-made machinery; foreign-currency loans for foreign machinery; guaranteeing foreign currency loans; lease financing of industrial capital; mudaraba financing; and consulting work.
