Abstract
There is a need for the development of an Industrial International Islamic Bank. Such an institution will mitigate the caution with which Islamic banks regard the financing of development projects and industrial enterprises. Islamic banks play a role in the development and financing of projects being developed within Muslim countries. The cooperation of various national banks within the Islamic world is an issue to be addressed. An Industrial International Islamic Bank's formation could conceivably occur within the larger framework of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB). Such a bank might either be a specialized unit of the IDB itself or be a separate entity in close affiliation with and with strong ties to the IDB organization.
