President, Islamic Society of North America; Plainfield, Ind. Muzammil H. Siddiqi is President of the Islamic Society of North America and the Director of the Islamic Society of Orange County, California. He has worked with many Islamic organizations worldwide, including the Muslim Students Association of the U.S. and Canada, the Muslim World League Office, and the Islamic Center of Washington, D.C. Siddiqi received his early education at Aligarh Muslim University and Darul Uloom Nadwatul Ulama (Lucknow). He has a higher degree in Arabic and Islamic Studies from the Islamic University of Madinah, an M.A. in Theology from Birmingham University, and a Ph.D. in Comparative Religion from Harvard University. Sididqi is a member of the Fiqh Council of North America and a founding member of the Council of Mosques in the U.S. and Canada. He often participates in interfaith dialogues with Jews and Christians and conducts a weekly religious radio program. Siddiqi is Vice President of the Academy of Judaic-Christian and Islamic Studies in California and a member of both the Supreme Islamic Council of Egypt and the Supreme Council of Mosques in Makkah.
