Mohd. Azmi Omar

Dean of Kulliyyah of Economics and Mgmt. Science, International Islamic University; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Mohd. Azmi Omar is Dean of the Kulliyyah of Economics and Management Science and an Assistant Professor of Business Administration at International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). His academic and professional interests include financial management, investment analysis and financial statement analysis, Islamic business management, and Islamic accounting, auditing and banking practice. He is also a Product Development Consultant for SPTF. He was formerly with Bank Bumiputra Malaysia Bhd. before joining IIUM. Omar has a B.S. in Finance and a Diploma in Banking Studies from MARA Institute of Technology, an MBA from Northern Illinois University, and a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Wales. Omar is the author of several publications and research papers and consults several Malaysian commercial banks and finance companies on interest-free banking.
