David E. Moran

President, Dow Jones Indexes; New York, N.Y. David E. Moran is President of Dow Jones Indexes, where he oversees the marketing and distribution of the indexes and related products that provide international investors with benchmarks on international equity markets. He was formerly Vice President/Law and Deputy General Counsel for Dow Jones & Company. Prior to joining Dow Jones, Moran was an associate with Patterson, Belknap, Webb & Tyler, a New York City law firm. Moran has a B.A. from Harvard College and a J.D. from the University of Virginia Law School. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. Moran is currently serving a one-year term as chairman of STOXX, Ltd., an index creator that is a joint venture of the German, Paris, and Swiss stock exchanges and Dow Jones.
