Assistant Professor, Nanyang Business School; Singapore Ramin Cooper Maysami is an Assistant Professor at the Nanyang Business School, where his research focuses on Islamic banking and finance, regulation of financial institutions, derivative securities, and entrepreneurship. He also heads the Islamic Banking Research Unit of the Asian Commerce and Economics Studies Center and is the Deputy Head of the Central Banking Policies Research Unit at Nanyang. He was formerly an Assistant Professor of Financial Economics at the University of Illinois. Maysami has a Ph.D. in Economics from Iowa State University. He has published several papers in international refereed journals on each of his research interests.
