Associate Professor of Business Administration, Harvard Business School Benjamin C. Esty is an Associate Professor of Business Administration at the Harvard Business School, where he teaches the advanced corporate finance class and a variety of Executive Education programs. His current research focuses on how firms structure, value, and finance large-scale capital projects with a particular focus on project finance; he has written on a broad range of topics related to the financial services industry. He has worked at Booz-Allen & Hamilton, Bain and Company, and Commercial Mortgage Corporation of America, a start-up financial services company. Esty has a B.S. in Economics from Stanford University, an MBA from the Harvard Business School, and a Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University. He has published in several academic journals, including the Journal of Banking and Finance and the Journal of Financial Economics, where he is an Associate Editor.
