Fullbright Fellow, Student, Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri Ali Adnan Ibrahim is pursuing doctoral legal studies in the US under the auspices of the Fulbright Program, and is currently working toward his LL.M. at the Washington University in Saint Louis. He received LL.B. (Honours) from the International Islamic University, Islamabad, Pakistan. His areas of special interests are corporate governance and securities markets in transition economies. He is published within and outside of Pakistan on various areas of Pakistan law. Before commencing his sabbatical in 2005, Ibrahim has been practicing law in Pakistan with Rizvi, Isa, Afridi & Angell, and has extensively advised and assisted a diverse clientele, comprising public and private sector bodies as well as multi-nationals in the automobile, banking, energy, foreign trade and investment, insurance, information technology, maritime, telecommunication and textile sectors, in contentious as well as non-contentious matters including international arbitration. He has advised and assisted in some of the biggest financial and commercial transactions of the country.
