(Doctoral Candidate, Durham University, Durham, United Kingdom) Daniel Soloiman is a PhD scholar at Durham University currently in the final stages of his research titled “Islamic and conventional banks in Middle Eastern gulf countries: an empirical study exploring perceptions of customer and service providers.” His research interests also include the growing prospects of Islamic banking sectors in new market entrants such as Malta and Oman. The risks and potential for the growth of Islamic banking sectors comprise the main area of his research interests.
