New Delhi, India) Syed Mizanur Rahman completed his MBA from IIM Ahmedabad in 2010 and has, in a short span of time, gained experience in the consulting and financial industry with exposure to energy, infrastructure, retail, and banking. He has also worked with Shariq Nisar on a study concerning Muslim microfinance funds operating in Northern India and on several other interest-free financing projects. Interested in finding serious alternatives to conventional financing, Syed is involved in studying the challenges that institutions face in adopting alternative routes to generate financial resources while avoiding interest and other similar solutions available in the market. He has also worked as a part time consultant for the Islamic Finance Project at the Harvard Law School. Prior to his MBA, Syed finished his Bachelors in Computer Science from RV College, Bangalore with a first class distinction and has interned at Yahoo’s product development division.
