(Manager, PwC Consulting, Dubai, Dubai, United Arab Emirates) Rauf started his career as an analyst and practitioner in the field of public finance at the Ministry of Finance in Azerbaijan. Rauf's commitment was to make the government more efficient and he considers his major achievement to be his contribution towards establishing the Central Treasury’s improved relationship with multilateral donor community. The range of Rauf's assignments at Islamic Development Bank and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development allowed him to travel extensively and introduced him to the fundamentals of financing for development as well as in Islamic finance. While with the Government of Dubai, Rauf's team devised a comprehensive set of initiatives aimed at shielding Dubai's economy from the impact of global crisis and preparing it for the next stage of development. In addition to his prime responsibilities, Rauf was the Innovation Theme Leader and member of the Economic Policy Committee. In 2011, Rauf joined the PRTM Management Consulting where range of his assignments included advising leading public and private sector agencies in the GCC region on ways of improving their performance. In August 2011, when PwC acquired of PRTM, Rauf became a Manager at PwC's PRTM Management Consulting. In November 2011 Rauf became the Certified Islamic Finance Executive. Rauf was one of the founding members of AIESEC-Azerbaijan and its elected Vice President. While at Harvard University, Rauf was elected to the Student Government and received the Eric Yankah Book award. Rauf's interviews have been published in the Global Islamic Finance Magazine (UK), the Islamic Investor (UK), the Islamic Financial News magazine (Malaysia) and Today.az (Azerbaijan).
