(Adjunct Professor, The Fletcher School, Tufts University, Medford, Massachusetts) Warde is adjunct professor of international business at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University, and a consultant specializing in international finance. A 2007 Carnegie Scholar, he has previously taught at the University of California, Berkeley and at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) Sloan School of Management. He holds an M.B.A. from France's Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales, and an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley. His book Islamic Finance in the Global Economy (Edinburgh University Press 2000) has been revised and updated and the second edition appeared in May 2010. Warde’s other books include The Price of Fear: The Truth Behind the Financial War on Terror (The University of California Press 2007). He is also a writer for Le Monde diplomatique.
