(Doctoral Candidate, Harvard Business School, Boston, MA) Khan is a Doctoral Candidate in Strategy at the Harvard Business School. Her research focuses on analyzing business processes in emerging markets. She is currently studying the role of religious beliefs in shaping the individual preferences and is interested in exploring the role of private and public sector interventions on economic development in the Middle East and across the Muslim world. Prior to embarking on her doctoral studies, Khan completed a Masters program in International Economic Development from Harvard University where she was awarded the JFK Fellowship for graduate studies and concentrated on public sector economics. She also holds an undergraduate A.B degree in Economics from Princeton University. Khan has previously worked as a management consultant in the New York office of McKinsey & Company where she focused on financial industries and the retail sector. She has also lived in South Asia and the Middle East where she was a journalist, a news anchor and an aspiring media entrepreneur.
