(Doctoral Candidate, National University of Malaysia, Malaysia) Rashid received both his BA and MBA degrees from East West University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He was valedictorian in his graduating class and received the Presidential gold medal. Currently, Rashid is a doctoral candidate in the Graduate School of Business in National University of Malaysia. His area of research interest is in Islamic Banking with special reference to Risk management and Supervision of Islamic Banks, Corporate Social Responsibility and customer satisfaction in retail Islamic banking industry. He writes frequently on Islamic banking and finance issues in various local and international journals. Rashid has been a lecturer of finance at the Faculty of Business and Economics, East West University, Bangladesh and has presented a number of papers in international conferences.
