Visiting Professor, Trisakti University; Jakarta, Indonesia Rodney Shakespeare is a UK tutor, binary economist and Visiting Professor at Trisakti University, Jakarta, Indonesia. A Cambridge MA and Barrister of the Middle Temple he is co-author of three books including Binary Economics the new paradigm (the standard textbook on the subject) and Seven Steps to Justice. At the centre of his writing is the use of state-issued, cancelable, interest-free loans directed at productive capacity in both the public and private sectors. In the private sector the loans are made on free market, private property particularly wide ownership principles and are administered by the banking system. Rodney has presented major papers at Islamic conferences concerned with the connection between the money supply and the real economy The International Islamic University, Kuala Lumpur (August, 2002); The Trisakti University, Jakarta (January, 2004); and The International Islamic University, Chittagong (December, 2004). In 2003 he wrote the substantial Foreword for The Islamic World-system (the magnum opus of Masudul Alam Choudhury).
