Associate Professor, International Islamic University Malaysia; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Mahmood Mohamed Sanusi is currently Associate Professor in the Department of Islamic Law, Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyah of Laws, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). He has been lecturing in Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyah of Laws since 1984. Prior to his appointment in IIUM, he served as assistant manager of the legal department of a leading company in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia for eight years. He has published many articles pertaining to Islamic banking and finance in various reputable academic journals, particularly on current issues in Islamic finance, investment in bonds, takaful, family and criminal law. He has also presented his work at various seminars and international conferences. In addition, Sanusi is now a lecturer and presenter for the Executive Islamic Banking and Finance program jointly organized by IIUM and leading institutions of Islamic Banking in Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei. He is also a member of Bank Negara Malaysia’s Law Review Committee for Islamic Banking and Financial Transaction.
