Executive Director, First Islamic Investment Bank E.C.; Manama, Bahrain Henry A. Thompson is an Executive Director of First Islamic Investment Bank E.C. (FIIB) and is its General Counsel, responsible for administering the Bank’s legal affairs, corporate governance, and for developing the legal aspects of the Islamic financial instruments utilized by the Bank. Prior to joining FIIB, he worked for Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP and Hogan & Hartson, specializing in cross-border investments as well as both conventional and Islamic financing. Thompson received his Bachelors of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. and received his J.D., cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center. Thompson is admitted to the bar of the District of Columbia.
