Economist, Islamic Research and Training Institute, Islamic Development Bank Group; Jeddah, Saudi Arabia Habib Ahmed has studied in Bangladesh, Norway, and the USA. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Connecticut. Before joining Islamic Research and Training Institute of the Islamic Development Bank Group as an Economist in 1999, he taught at University of Connecticut, National University of Singapore, and University of Bahrain. He has more than 30 publications, which include articles in international refereed journals, research papers/monographs and books. His current research interests are Islamic economics and finance.
