The 2023 CILE Winter School will be hosted in collaboration with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), focusing on topics related to armed conflict ethics. Not only is this topic important as it brings forth discussions on maintaining ethics in violent and difficult situations, but it is also an issue that is relevant to the current position of Muslims in the context of the Global War on Terror (GWOT).

Education for Sustainable Development in Qatar

This exciting workshop brings together actors undertaking active roles as part of the education and policy community in the education for sustainable development ecosystem in Qatar. The workshop aims to create a venue to learn about stakeholders’ experiences in sustainable development goals education (strategies, tools, enablers and barriers), as well as to collectively work on identifying the overarching questions in this domain and the areas open for progress and collaboration.

Following the four successful editions of the International Conference on Islamic Finance (ICIF), the Center for Islamic Economics and Finance (CIEF) at the College of Islamic Studies (CIS), at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), with the support of the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) Authority, is organizing the fifth ICIF, scheduled to be held on October 09 - 11, 2022 in Doha, Qatar.
