Bibliographic Capacity in Islamic Studies

Submitted by admin on Thu, 04/14/2022 - 02:33

This cluster strives to build much needed repositories in essential fields of Islamic studies to reflect the CIS faculty research and further enhance its scope and impact. The research reports emanating from these clusters becomes a public accessible resource portal.  The researchers are expected to find areas related to Islamic studies which require building of bibliographic capacity and then follow-up with initiatives to bridge the prevailing gaps through creation of repositories, databanks and digital libraries. Initiatives undertaken so far include: I-BIR (Islamic Bibliographic Info Repository), Islamic Bioethics Project (Specialized annotated bibliography with Georgetown University-Qatar), Digital Sira Project, and Covenants of the Prophet Muhammad (Digital Library with QNL).
