Unity in Diversity: Approaching the Study of Islam as Tradition

This project aims to contribute to the study of Islam as discursive tradition inaugurated by anthropologist Talal Asad. More particularly, it is interested in the analysis of mechanisms which regulate Islamic speech acts without simply rendering the tradition uniform.
