Abstract
| One of many God’s blessings upon us is making Shari’ah the means that safeguard His creation; protecting from what harms them and promoting what benefits them. This blessing is echoed through His Shari’ah rulings and is evident in the Shari’a objectives. Among these are the rulings on waqf which is built upon the notions of compassion and benevolence that resonates all the five Shari’ah objectives (Maqasid al- Shari’ah) of different categories (necessity, complementary, and embellishment) in safeguarding and promoting an adequate and comprehensive social ecosystem. This study, therefore, seeks to highlight these distinctive features in the light of Maqasid al-Shari’ah. |
