The thesis is divided into six sections thematically. The first chapter is an introduction providing the plan of research. Chapter two focuses on Qur'anic verses that pertain to economic philosophy. Chapter three highlights those verses that address human values in Islam, and chapter four classifies human values relating to economic institutions. Chapter five specifies which economic activities contribute to economic development, with the final chapter providing a conclusion.
