Abstract

Human resources mobilization is one of the key economic issues facing contemporary Muslim economies. Labour force participation in most of the Muslim economies is extremely low which is resulting into a simple waste of the precious resources given by Almighty to the Muslim economies in abundance. Conventional economics suggest several solutions. None seems to work effectively to improve the situation in developing countries in general and in Muslim countries in particular. Does Islamic economics have any thing to offer in this respect? This paper attempts to answer this question by making a formal presentation on the employment and human resources mobilization aspects of the Islamic financial system emphasizing that the system has a more powerful built-in model of human resources mobilization than the existing model developed under conventional economic philosophy. _x000D_
