Instruments of regulation and control of Islamic banks by the central banks

This is volume 10 in the IDB Background Paper series. The objectives of the paper are to provide an analysis of economic literature pertaining to monetary policy recommendations for Islamic banks, examine central bank practices with respect to Islamic institutions (and in comparison with conventional banks), and to compare central bank practices in different countries.
