Assistant Professor, Department of Real Estate, National University of Singapore; Singapore Muhammed-Shahid Ebrahim is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Real Estate at the National University of Singapore. He was previously a Visiting Fellow at the Oxford Center for Islamic Studies and has been affiliated with such institutions as the University of Brunei Darussalam, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and Southern Illinois University. Ebrahim has a B.Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology, an M.S. from the University of Pennsylvania, an MBA from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and a D.B.A. from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. He has worked at the United Bank of Kuwait, First Path Securities, and IDS Financial Services. Ebrahim’s research interests include asset pricing, capital structure and security design, investments, international finance, Islamic banking, and real estate. He publishes frequently in international refereed journals. Ebrahim was a visiting scholar at HIFIP in 1997.
