Private Consultant; Scottsdale, Ariz. Thomas Tellner is a private consultant to a foreign firm seeking to establish brokerage and fund operations in the U.S. He previously worked as an account manager for Waterhouse Securities in Phoenix, Ariz., and First National Bank of Maryland in Bethesda, Md. Tellner served for six years as an enlisted army aviation crewmember. He is interested in pursuing the development and implementation of Islamically-acceptable investment products and methods, has presented papers at the Islamic Society of North America’s Annual Convention on Islamic Finance and Banking, and is working on several articles on Islamic brokerage and markets. Tellner has a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Maryland – Europe Division, with a focus on economics and finance.
