Rehman, Asad

(Assistant Professor, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India) Asad Rehman, having a teaching experience of 15 years and six months, is presently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Management Studies & Research, Aligarh Muslim University, India. His areas of interest are International Finance, Islamic banking and Takaful. He is particularly interested in studying the role of Micro-Takaful in poverty alleviation. He has supervised several dissertations in the area of Islamic banking and finance at post graduate level. He has successfully supervised two doctoral theses in Business administration and has also supervised a doctoral thesis titled, “Islamic Banking in India: challenges and opportunities”. He is an avid researcher and has contributed papers in several reputed research journals.
