(University of South Wales, Australia) Muhammad is a third-year Bachelor of Commerce/Science student at the University of New South Wales, majoring in Actuarial Studies and Statistics. Since 2013, he is treasurer of the Islamic Awareness Forum of UNSW, a Muslim Students’ Association on campus, and is involved in the planning and execution of events which seek to communicate the relevance of Islam’s proposed solutions to modern-day issues, both personal and social. His interests lie in the development and implementation of Islamic Insurance (takaful) in an Australian context as an ethical and socially responsible alternative to conventional insurance.
