(Sr. Joint Director, Islamic Banking, State Bank of Pakistan, Islamabad, Pakistan) Mian Farooq Haq PhD from London School of Economics and Political Science is working as a Senior Joint Director, heading Market Analysis and Research Division of Islamic Banking Department- Central bank of Pakistan. His areas of interest include Islamic finance and various banking practices, development policies, cultural context at national and organizational level, social construction of technology etc. Publications of the central bank having his contributions include Inflation Monitor, Islamic banking Bulletin, annual and quarterly reports. His recent research at the central bank includes a survey based study; “Knowledge, Attitude and Practices of Islamic Banking in Pakistan.”
