(Gibbons Professor of Finance, Bentley University, Waltham, Massachusetts) Sultan was appointed the Gibbons Professor of Finance at Bentley University in 2007. He received his B.A. from Eureka College, his M.S. from Western Illinois University, and his Ph.D. from Arizona State University. Sultan currently teaches Fixed Income and International Financial Management at the undergraduate and graduate programs at Bentley University. He conducts education seminars on topics such as treasury risk management, currency trading, international investment, financial liberalization, and modeling volatility. Sultan conceived and established the Bentley University Trading Room in 1997—a multi-million dollar state-of-the-art facility for teaching financial analysis and risk management to finance and non-finance students. The first working trading floor on an American university campus, the facility offers real-time data feed from major equities, options exchanges, and over-the-counter markets in the U.S. and overseas and is also used for conducting corporate training seminars. Sultan was the recipient of the 1999 Bentley University Scholar of the Year award.
