(Manager, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Zurich, Switzerland) Rilk is Manager at PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Zurich, Switzerland. He conducts and supports research in the field of Islamic banking, most recently by lecturing at Durham Islamic Finance Summer School 2009 (Durham, UK) and as speaker at various peer events. Prior to working with PWC Switzerland, he was Senior Advisor to BNP Paribas Najmah, the bank´s global Islamic banking unit based in Bahrain. Being a trained lawyer, Rilk worked more than 5 years as associate with a major Swiss boutique law firm, specialising in cross border economic law and banking law. Rilk has earned masters degrees in law from Albert-Ludwigs University Freiburg i. Br., Germany, and UT 1 Toulouse, France, and has been admitted to the bars of Germany (Freiburg Bar) and Switzerland (Zurich Bar Association). He is member of GAIR e.V. (German Society of Arabic and Islamic Law) and speaks German, English, French and Arabic.
