Partner, McKinsey & Company; Dubai, United Arab Emirates Nasr-Eddine Benaissa is a Partner in the Dubai office of McKinsey & Company. Benaissa joined McKinsey’s Paris office in September 1999, and later transferred to the Dubai office in October 2001. His work has been primarily centred on financial institutions. He is one of the leaders of the Emerging Markets Financial Institutions Group and the leader of the Islamic Finance interest group. He has recently co-authored presentations on the evolution of banking in the region, including: “Perspectives on the Evolution of the GCC Banking Sector,” “The Next Mountain to Climb for Islamic Banks,” and the McKinsey “Islamic Banking Competitiveness Report” for 2004 and 2005. Prior to joining McKinsey, Benaissa worked for TAG Heuer S.A. (LVMH group); he previously worked for the United Nations in Geneva in the division of external relations for two years as an associate Fund Raising officer. Prior to that, he worked for Ernst & Young. Benaissa graduated from HEC Graduate School of Management in Paris (Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales), majoring in Corporate Finance. He is fluent in English, French, Arabic and Spanish.
