Ph.D. Candidate, Department of Economics, Rice University; Houston, Tex. Hulusi Inanoglu is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Economics at Rice University. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey, and an M.A. in Economics from the University of Colorado at Denver. He is currently writing his dissertation on banking and finance, which includes a detailed study of the efficiency of conventional and Islamic banks in Turkey.
