Economist Researcher and as Senior Training Specialist . Bachelor Degree in Commerce and Accounting from the Faculty of Commerce (Ecole Superieure de Commerce), Algiers University (Algeria) in 1978. Diploma of Advanced Studies on Economic Development from the University of Manchester, UK in 1980. Master in 1982 and PhD Degrees in 1989 from the University of Wales, UK. His PhD Thesis was entitled: “Islamic Banking” in 1989. Worked as the Coordinator of the Islamic Economics Unit at the Islamic Foundation, UK for 15 years. Then, worked as a Researcher and as an Assistant Professor at the Islamic Economics Research Centre, King Abdul-Aziz University Jeddah for 5 years. Afterwards, he worked as Economist Researcher and as Senior Training Specialist at the Islamic Research and Training Institute (IRTI) of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), Jeddah for 9 years from the beginning of 2009 until August 2017. Presently, he is a member of staff at the Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University doing research and teaching Islamic economics and finance. He Made seminal contributions to Islamic Economics and Finance over more than 30 years in the form of a number of research papers, conference presentations, book reviews, teaching and training.
